  • 183 » Practical Steps For Doing Deals Remotely » Brian Ellwood Part 2

Here we are in this episode with Part 2 of my interview with Brian Ellwood. Be sure, if you haven’t already, go and listen to Part 1. Brian has so many great tips and ideas to share. In my first interview, we talked a lot about the importance of knowing the numbers in your business.

I wanted to have Brian back because he’s been doing virtual investing for several years now, and doing it quite successfully. Brian lives in Colorado, and his target market is Nashville, Tennessee, where he used to live.

He attributes much of his success to the fact that he knows the Nashville market. His advice to others is to practice doing deals remotely in their own hometown. In other words, do deals without leaving the house. What a great way to know if you can really pull it off.

Brian talks about the nuts and bolts of his business, such as how he hires, who he hires, and how he tracks their performance. He has a great technique for hiring great acquisitions managers, because as you might know, hiring the wrong person can be quite expensive.

Having staff members from all over, Brian shares how he keeps in touch with his entire team.

Listen and enjoy:

  1. Hey Joe
Great podcast. Would you post in the show notes the seller script you went over on the show? It had some really good questions. Thanks

    1. Zach – sorry – I don’t have that in front of me to post… Can you write the questions down from the audio?
