Peter Conti is my guest today. This is the first time he’s been on the show. He’s writes books, he’s coaches, he uses creative financing and he just plain enjoys working in real estate.
Peter started in real estate in 2002. He feels he’s really good at building rapport, and thinks that’s why people do business with him.
Screen sellers based on their motivation to sell. Just talk to them about their current situation and you will hear their level of motivation.
Working with a mentor, Peter learned this important rule early on. The seller can get their price or their terms, but they can’t get both. With lease options, the investor must control the terms.
Controlling the terms isn’t difficult when you’re a smart negotiator. Peter uses scripts that lead the seller to realize his option is the best one.
